About the Role:
Our client is a user-centric, product-driven company. They understand that delivering value to landlords and tenants depends on prioritizing design, user research, experimentation, and shipping products effectively. The entire organization values design, starting with their CEO. You won’t face challenges convincing leadership to allocate engineering resources to improve visual design or advocating for additional user research when needed.
If you join their team, you can look forward to working in a fast-paced, performance-driven startup environment. Your work will be shipped to production daily and used by hundreds of thousands of landlords and tenants every month.
Who they are looking for:
Our client is seeking a skilled “full-stack” Product Designer. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product management, product marketing, and customer experience teams to discover, refine, and define ways to delight customers through a first-class product experience.
As a Product Designer, you will:
- Work within your product pod to solve user problems and contribute to business outcomes.
- Deliver work at the appropriate velocity (speed + quality) for the project by prioritizing effectively and adjusting scope when necessary.
- Participate in qualitative and quantitative user research to gather insights that inform design decisions.
- Utilize and contribute to their design system, ensuring a consistent user experience across the product.
- Simplify complex user flows to create intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
- Collaborate with Engineering and QA to ensure designs are implemented accurately and meet high standards.
- Actively collaborate with the design team by sharing feedback and contributing to team improvements and documentation.
- Work as part of the Product Organization to accomplish OKRs.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A strong understanding of visual design principles (hierarchy, layout, color theory, typography, spacing, etc.) and user experience design principles (interaction, information architecture, usability, user value, etc.).
- A growing product and business sense—an ability to identify what’s needed in a design and understand its impact on users and the business.
- Experience setting up and participating in user research.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with design systems and the ability to work within and contribute to a consistent design framework.
- A strong desire to receive and give feedback.
- Experience with Figma and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools as needed.
- 2-4 years of experience working in a design role, collaborating with Product Managers, engineers, and QA to ship high-quality products.
Our client cares less about specific degrees or years of experience. They value your design skills, speed of delivery, product sense, high standards, attention to detail, communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
This role is based in Denver, Colorado, and regular face-to-face time is essential. The ideal candidate would be expected to work in the Denver office once a week (or more, if preferred).
