A Year of Growth and Impact: Our 2024 Highlights

By Helen Clark

13.12.24

This year has been an exceptional one for LMRE as we continue to lead the way in talent management within the Built Environment Tech space, expanding our impact across our Climate Tech, ConTech, and PropTech verticals.

Our Verticals

As global superpowers continue to implement legislation to reduce carbon emissions in real estate and introduce incentives to drive investment in climate technologies, we have expanded our expertise in the Climate Tech sector to ensure we stay ahead of the curve. This year, through strategic partnerships with innovative organizations in Climate Technology, Smart Buildings, and PropTech worldwide, we have been instrumental in helping companies achieve ESG compliance and sustainability objectives. By connecting them with top-tier professionals in ESG, Sustainability, Climate, and Carbon management, we continue to support their efforts toward a more sustainable future.

In the construction industry, which represents 13% of the world’s GDP, we’ve strengthened our position as a leader in Construction Tech recruitment. LMRE has supported high-growth AEC and manufacturing start-ups across North America, EMEA, and APAC, specializing in key roles that drive innovation and sustainability for clients such as OpenSpace, Datumate, and Buildots.

Since our founding in 2018, LMRE has also been recognized as a global leader in PropTech recruitment. This year, the PropTech team has continued to bridge the gap between real estate and technology, partnering with businesses from pre-seed to post-IPO stages. Operating globally from our offices in London and New York, we’ve been instrumental in recruiting strategic roles, with a focus on Northern Europe and North America as we move into 2024.

Our Projects

In addition to our recruitment efforts, LMRE has made strides in knowledge sharing and thought leadership. Staying ahead means staying informed, and whether you’re a professional planning your next career move or an organization aiming to attract top talent, understanding the latest trends is critical.

This November, we unveiled our third annual Global Salary and Culture Benchmark Report, a definitive guide to the shifting dynamics of the PropTech and Built Environment sectors. With in-depth data and actionable insights, our report sheds light on pivotal topics such as regional salary trends, career motivations, and strategies to enhance employee satisfaction.

What’s making waves this year?

  • Job Market Momentum: A 43% year-on-year growth in job openings signals a market primed for opportunity.
  • Hybrid Work Reigns Supreme: 71% of employees prefer a balanced approach, favoring 2–3 office days per week.
  • The Gender Divide: Women continue to earn 17.3% less than men—an urgent call for equity.
  • Sustainability Leads the Way: The U.S. dominates in venture capital and decarbonization, spotlighting Clean Tech as a growth powerhouse.
  • Culture Over Cash: A strong company culture has emerged as the #1 non-financial motivator for job seekers.
